NOW HIRING! TIER 3 SOLUTIONS ENGINEER

Netrepid is hiring a Tier 3 Solutions Engineer to join our fast growing company. The right candidate will join our team based out of our headquarters in Harrisburg, PA and will help us improve our client services as well as our internal processes.

TIER 3 SOLUTIONS ENGINEER CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Share best practices and be consultative to clients throughout duration of the project
  • Produce a detailed functional design document to match customer requirements
  • Complete and co/implement a configuration workbook
  • Co-team with the Technical Architect to produce a technical specification for custom development and systems integration requirements
  • Provide current best practice and 3rd Party solution alternatives as part of the functional design document
  • Work in the Solutions Engineering Team and the Infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot / Resolve Tier 2 reported issues with client facing services.
  • Design and implement new customer services, hosted services, and hybrid environments
  • Assist in Onboarding Clients into established Netrepid Services Environment
  • Responsible for upkeep of systems in the Netrepid hosted environment
  • Utilize the service ticket system to log all requests, activities, and labor,  including documentation of special requests and customizations considered important for future support
  • Monitor the operational support systems to proactively identify service impacting events relating to IT, network, and facility conditions
  • Participate in an on-call rotation
  • Communicate with customers and internal staff at regular intervals to ensure expectations are set and that appropriate attention is being paid to customer requests
  • Escalate problems to the appropriate engineering disciplines within the organization as required to achieve resolution
  • Develop/modify Client-Centric Operating Procedure and other Documentation as new services are developed and deployed.
  • Participate with pre-sales certifications
  • Assist with various projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned

TIER 3 SOLUTIONS ENGINEER CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong skills in the following areas:
    • written and verbal skills
    • Client Service Focus
    • Active Directory Administration Skills
    • Competency with the Operating Systems currently supported by Microsoft
  • Above Average Competency with the Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Functional Knowledge of:
    • TCP/IP
    • Routing, Switching, Sub netting, etc.
  • Experience in User Administration in MS Exchange
  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Experience with SQL Server
  • Experience in VMWare and Citrix environments
  • Knowledge and experience troubleshooting SMB firewalls, and basic networking equipment (routers, switches, wireless access points)

TIER 3 SOLUTIONS ENGINEER EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 Years in large IT infrastructure environments working with core business applications, hypervisors, and user services.
  • Minimum certification or equivalent experience:
    • MCSA: Windows Server or MCTS: MS Exchange
    • VCP: VMWare Certified Professional
