Susquehanna Township School District

This school district is located just north of Harrisburg, PA. There are five buildings within the district that required high speed connectivity. The original network that was installed operated at slower speed than was desired.

As part of the project, Netrepid performed an RF study and determined that licensed radios operating in the 18Ghz frequency range would provide the throughput and frequency protection the school district was looking for.

The three towers located at the High School, Middle School, and Thomas Holtzman elementary school were upgraded to accommodate the new antenna arrays with torque arms and new guy assemblies. New 18GHz DragonWave radios were installed to connect the High School to the Middle School, Thomas Holtzman, and the CAIU. These provide 100mbps full duplex connectivity. 5.3Ghz Proxim radios were used to connect Anna Carter and Sara Lindenmuth elementary schools.

This new system will now allow the district to consolidate network resources and provide more consistent access to all the schools in the district.
