Congrats To This Year’s Winners Of The #CatalystAwards

The Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC has announced the recipients of the 2014 Catalyst Awards (#CatalystAwards). Recipients will be recognized at the annual awards event on Thursday, December 4th at the Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts (225 Market Street, Harrisburg). The black tie optional event will feature the theme of “celebrating 100 years of excellence” as the Chamber marks its 100 anniversary.

Each year member businesses and individuals are honored for their outstanding contributions to the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC, along with the regional business community at large. Congratulations to the following distinguished individuals and businesses that have been selected as the recipients of this year’s Catalyst Awards:

  • Athena Award – Jeannine Peterson of Hamilton Health Center
  • Catalyst Award – Stuart Malina of Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra
  • Chamber Champion of the Year Award – Brenna Kernan of Members 1st Federal Credit Union
  • Corporate Citizen of the Year Award- Susquehanna Bank
  • Entrepreneur of the Year Award- Jen Delaye of The JDK Group
  • Workforce Development Leader of the Year Award – Joe Alsberry of South Central Workforce Investment Board
  • Small Business of the Year Award – Boyer & Ritter
  • Business Diversity Champion Award – Maria Thiaw of Central Penn College
  • Government Leader of the Year Award – Barry Schoch, Secretary of Transportation
  • President’s Award – Senator Patricia Vance
  • Volunteer of the Year Award – Jim Nulton, Retired from PPL Corporation

“I’m honored and flattered to receive the Chamber & CREDC’s Catalyst Award,” stated Stuart Malina. “It is deeply gratifying to me that the area’s business community understands the value of the arts and what our vibrant and healthy arts sector adds to the Harrisburg region. It has been a privilege and pleasure to lead the Harrisburg Symphony for the past fifteen years, and I’m extremely proud of the central role we continue to play in the Capital region’s cultural life.”
